Inserted clauses

Hi teachers!

Today I have a question regarding so called (in Korea) inserted clause. As you can see in the sentence the clause 'you think' is inserted in a that clause. Whenever I come across this type of sentences I become wondered how to teach and explain it to my students.

Is there any grammar rules to refer to this types of inserting? And what kinds of verbs can be used like this inserting?

Many thanks in advance.
