insecurities about my sentence

I hope someone can please have a look at the following sentence:

"Hence, Figure 5 indicates an intuitive result, while Chapter 5’s econometric structure gives a more thorough analysis."

Is it 'While' or 'Whilst'?

Whilst is very very old fashioned. Hardly anyone uses these -st endings any more (amongst, amidst, whilst,...) .

Chapter 5 does not give a discussion, it uses econometric methodology to address the results in Figure 5. So, I think I need to rephrase it. Do you have an idea?
