These two words are sound quite the same..
How do they differ from each other?

I think you mean "enquiry"?

Enquiry is british, and I think Inquiry is american english. But it means the same.

These two words are different spellings of the same concept. Enquire has been used more frequently in UK English, while inquire is more common in US English.
As referenced on this website, the two words do have some patterns of usage outside their definition, but either is correct.

In my experience, when you use Google to search for articles explaining specific points of grammar, the articles you will find are more well-considered, more clearly expressed, more thorough and usually more authoritative than the responses you will see here.
