Dear Sir

I would like to know whether or not the use of the word 'abroad'

is correct in the following sentence: Organization of Islam Schools Abroad

as a name of an organization.

Sorry for taking your time.

Best regards.

I do not think this works. How can you be 'abroad' in relation to a religion? You can only be 'abroad' in relation to a country.

  • I do not think this works.
  • How can you be 'abroad' in relation to a religion?
  • You can only be 'abroad' in relation to a country.
  • If only one country in the world was Islamic, then it would work, but that is not the case.

Yes, it's correct. It seems like the title should be "Organization of Islamic Schools Abroad" though...

I hope that helps!

HAHAHA, GREAT point! I didn't think about that. Perhaps "abroad" doesn't work...I can't believe I didn't notice that. Wow, I'm really embarrassed! haha
