Inquiring for jurisprudence

Is it correct the structure in the following question?

Has the Court issued any decision on this regard in the past? What such decision was?

Purpose of my question is:
1. to ask if the court have had a previous opinion/decision on a certain subject, and
2. if the answer to (1) is ‘yes’, I’m asking to elaborate on how the court decided.

Thank you!
