I'd like to know if I can use input/output in the examples below or maybe they are only appropriate if I'm talking about computing (IT).

Input quantity of manufactured material.

Output quantity of manufactured material.

Input and Output only work for information.You can't say: I am inputting this key in the keyhole.But you can say I'd like to input my information or When i press this button,I'm inputting this command.
They are used for computing,too.
