Input and discussion or inputs and discussion?

Hi. Please help. I believe there are situations where words like "input" and "discussion" that can be used either in their countable form or their uncountable form. (I hope I chose the word "form" to correctly reflect what I wanted to say, but not sure though.) As for the examples below, do the words underlined have to have corresponding forms, for example both uncountable or both countable? I am sorry for not providing you with complete example sentences. Thank you for your help in advance.
