In/On such a lovely sunny morning one feels alive.

Hello.

Is the sentence below correct or should we use 'in'?

On such a lovely sunny morning one feels alive.

I tried to google this topic, but unfortunately I still find it difficult to decide which preposition is appropriate in this case...
Normally we say 'in the morning', but when we have a specific date we say 'on the morning of [this date]'.
