Inherit or harass?

I talked with a British man yesterday. He asked me that whether or not I will inherit my property to my daughter.

"inherit". But I think that he pronounced it similar as "Harass".

I can ask him for it when I meet him today again. But, could you teach me whether or not there is a word which means "inherit" but which has similar pronunciation as "harass"?

Thank you in advance for your teaching?

Hi

The nearest I can think of is:

- Will you pass on your property to your daughter?

You presumably heard something involving the word "heiress", which the Brits pronounce similarly to "harass".
