-ING:blueing vs bluing

hi: I happened to find that blue, used as a verb, has two kinds of -ING form: blueing OR bluing. Which form is used more often? The same kind of example is "glue" when used as a verb. But "Clue" has only one form. Does the differences of spelling mean some regional legacy, ie, british vs american spelling?
thank you very much
