Ing vs to verb:

Hello Sir

As we know whatt to use gerund or infinitive as verb's object depends on the verb. Likewise Should we follow same approach when we have use it as modifier of (noun/np or any non finite verb/(sub, object or complement))

Eg. I want to complete.(want- takes infinitive as it represents an idea that is to be realised/not real complete).

So if we were to use non finite verb as modifier after another non finite or noun or adjective would we follow the same approach.

Eg. I like to enjoy eating (enjoy takes participle) correct?
Or
I like enjoying watching tv. (Not meaningful but just to verify the syntax i hope I'm able to put my querie clearly).

"Both infinitive and participle can ve use as 'adjective modifier' as well as well as 'adverb modifier' " depending on what non finite verb it modifies" correct?

One more question- i want to work
Here to work is it An infinitive as noun ie verbs object or infinitive as adverbial modifier. are both correct way of analysing?
