Hello Dear,


I wan to ask you one more question. My question is below.


1)The vice president is analyzing the sales data, trying to understand why the

company sold less than expected last month.

If I want to convert above sentence into compound sentence then it would be like this

2)The vice president is analyzing the sales data, he is trying to understand why the

company sold less than expected last month. Is this correct ? If not then how it would be ?
