Ing clause

a) I will walk here, waiting for my friend to turn up.

b) I'll ask what I have to say, awaiting either rejection or reward

How can I make this clear that the ing clauses follow in time from the finite verb phrase?

Thank you

You will have to form a clause ('here, and then wait'; 'say and then await') or add a time adverb ('say, subsequently awaiting'). There may be other solutions that do not occur to me.
