In/from a tab

Hi everyone,

I'm not a native speaker, and I need some help. I'm writing a sort of guide for web programming. This is an excerpt:

How to create new variable from the code and use them in the layout?

In the code: $scope.myNewVar = Data;

In the layout: $scope.myNewVar;

It's redacted as a set of questions followed by answers and/or indications.

  1. Should/Can the questions be in bold?
  2. There's a tab in the development environment for layout and one for code. Code can be executed from both tabs. Should I say "In the code/layout:" or "From the code/layout:"? I'm trying to figure out the best way to phrase it.
  3. Are there any blatant errors or suggestions?
