l've just seen a video on methematics and the speaker sometimes applies some expresions that is unfamiliar to me and l can't understand him. for example these three expresions:
1- "right over here". considering the context it doesn't seem that he mean to mention the right side!!!
2- "let's say"
3- "what's neat about ... is ..."

1- what does the second "say" in this sentence mean?
. If we say that the horizontal oxis is say east
2- what does this sentence mean? "we get that by literally thinking about ..." . l can't understand "get" and "literally thinking"
