Informal expression for "Establish"

Hi, I'm looking for an informal word or expression for "Establish", for example, if I wanted to say that I established my embassy in China, what would be an informal word instead of "establish" ? At the matter of informality, I mean something like "rob" which the informal word for it, could be "hit" in this example: "They hit the jewelry store last week!" .

set up? I hope you realize that countries have embassies but individual people don't. eg There is a Canadian Embassy, but there is no 'Embassy of Clive'.
