"Flammable" and "inflammable" mean about the same thing, which always confused me as a child. They both mean "combustable." (Capable of becoming inflammed)

Once the fire ignites, we can say the thing is inflammed, but not "flammed."

I think "flammable" is actually the more common adjective.
