Infinitive phrases, adverbs and objects (Guest:Carlos)

What's the function of the the infinitive phrase in the following sentence: She taught me to play the piano. Is it an adverb or an object?

Top answer

Hi Carlos. My interpretation would be that "to play" is the object, and has its own object "the piano". What did she teach me?
