Might anyone be able to help me with the following question?
"To pass an exam, there are proven study methods to follow."
I need to identify the infinitive phrases as either adverbial or adjectival, or neither.
I believe the first one, "to pass", is an adverbial modifying the verb "to follow". But I'm unsure...
I'm also tempted to say that these infinitive phrases are neither adverbial nor adjectival, because this sentence appears to present an error (a dangling modifier), which would be corrected by saying instead: "To pass an exam, one must follow proven study methods."
Oh my! I really do need some help!
