Infinitive and Gerund

Hi everyone.
I have a little problem. I don't understand the difference between Infinitive and Gerund. For example, what sentence is correct - "Do you like sleeping?" or "Do you like to sleep?"
It gets really confusing when I want to talk about hobbies because I always have no idea how to ask correctly.
Thank you in advance.

" Both are possible. I'm puzzled that you consider sleeping to be a hobby, though. Hobbies are activities like stamp collecting or fly fishing.
