Infinitive

Maybe a silly question but it's driving me nutts. Is there a difference between full-infinitive and perfect-infinitive? And what is it? I need to write a paragraph to explain the usage of modal verbs followed by full-infinitive and I am pretty clueless...

Hi, I woiuld understand 'the full infinitive' to be eg 'to cook' . The perfect infinitive is eg 'to have cooked' . Best wishes, Clive
