Induced/enticed me to go swimming

Even though I had a lot of work to do, James induced/enticed me to go swimming with him.

Hi,
Do both induced and enticed fit in the above and mean about the same? Thanks.

I think a better collocation is 'entice one into doing '. 'Entice' is more sensual than 'induce'.
