These are outdoor games: badminton, football, tennis, beach volleyball, soccer.

Several of the things you've mentioned are actually activities rather than games. A game involves competition. Common indoor games include card games (bridge, pinochle, etc.), table games (monopoly, backgammon, cribbage, mah jong) and parlor games (charades, etc.).

Thanks, but Philip, what is outdoor games in your perceptions?

Competitive sports/games that are held outdoors. (Keep in mind that some sports can be held either indoors or outdoors.)

I think it's hard to list all games that you mentioned into one and only one category because a game can be held both indoor and outdoor, for example volleyball (beach volleyball games are mostly held outdoor).
So I'm confused if the label "indoor" or "outdoor" set is based on the most common case... Anyway, in my humble opinion, we still can classify into the same ways as people's answers a

Hi,

I would say Badminton is a soley indoor sport as any tiny amount of wind would affect the flight of the shuttlecock. Also football and soccer are the same game, it just depends on which side of the pond you live as to how you pronounce it.

To an American, football (which we Brits call 'American football)' and soccer (which we normally call ('football') are not the same game.
