individual email

Adam sent an individual email.

Is the "individual mail" part correct? couldn't it be phrased in a better manner. Please advise

Hi, What does an individual email mean? Emails are generally either 'business' or 'personal'. But why not just say 'Adam sent an email'?

It means you are the only recipient of it. The mail did not reach anyone else. It was addressed to you personally.

Hi,

I've never heard that expression.

The context is usually enough to clarify that, if it's important.
