I have recently heard that proper indirect questions are with inversion.

I wonder if it is true?
or
I wonder if is it true?

Could you explain me the proper way to build correct indirect questions?

AnonymousI have recently heard that proper indirect questions are with inversion.
Just the reverse. Proper indirect questions (embedded questions) do not show subject-verb inversion. Only direct questions have that.
