Indirect question

Can you tell me why did you not speak the truth?

[A]. why did not you speak
. that why did you not speak
[C]. why you did not speak
[D]. why did you not spoke
[E]. No correction required

ANS:-C

But the above is an "indirect question" .The word order should be change i.e ans should be E.
Am i right? Please share your thoughts
