Indirect object in "She served him."

She served him.

She told him.

Is him an indirect object in the sentences above?

--------------------

I've asked that question because I'm not sure about the syntax function of him there. Is it that a direct object is somehow implied in both sentences? (Didn't she serve/tell him something?)

If there is only one object present in a clause, it is always the direct object. Which is what "him" is in your two examples.
