Indirect object

HI,

Is it possible for the indirect object before a preposition to come before the direct object,e.g.,'I wish for you all happiness.'?

I know that a preposition+indirect O takes the position after the direct object!I can't say'Give to me the book.',can I?

Need help please.

It is awkward in both cases, and more awkward in the 2nd, but yes, it can be certainly done: I wish for you all that I wish for everyone tonight.

Don't you mean an indirect object after a preposition? I think you've got your befores and afters confused.

No, I mean that it can be done in other cases, as with the example I supplied.

Sorry for the mistake. But I need your further elaboration, please.

P.s.Is my putting the full stop between the inverted commas correct in my sentence?

No, it should be omitted in deference to the ending punctuation of the matrix sentence.
