Indian surrogates point to bottom line as U.S. parents carry the cash

Hi

1: In the video the line says "Indian surrogates point to bottom line as U.S. parents carry the cash". What does it mean?

2: It also says, "The double-hit of infertililty and recession is forcing some wannabe parents to get creative". What's the reason for using "double-hit" when, in my opinion, "hit" could have also been used? In what way are they getting "creative"? They are just getting the job done cheaply.

Please help me with the queries.. Thank you.

The need for money (the bottom line) drives many decisions. The Indian surrogates do this to make money.

"Infertility" is one hit and "the recession" is the other.

Finding new ways to do things cheaply may be considered "creative."
