Independent TOEFL essay
Hi my friends,
How is everything? I have a question relevant to the TOEFL iBT exam:
- If the number of my words used in the essay (independent essay) is about 450-500 words or more, will it have a negative impact on my scoring? I've heard that writing more than the required number of words would have the same negative effect as writing fewer than the required number. Is it true?

I don't see 400-500 words as a problem if the essay was well written.
