Indefinite article

Hello,

Please teach me which is more proper and natural English?

#1 Use a bag or backpack.

A ball and pen are inside.

There is a soccer field, swimming pool and tennis courts.

#2 Use a bag or a backpack.

A ball and a pen are inside.

There is a soccer field, a swimming pool and tennis courts.


#1 first noun with indefinite article but the others without it.

I sometimes see this, but my grammar books do not explain this.

Both ways are used. Both are correct. My personal preference is for #2.
