Which one would you consider as correct use of indeed? (if any;))

A) Could you please double-check if this cash flow is an income payment indeed?

B) Could you please double-check if this cash flow is indeed an income payment?

A indicates surprise or "are you really really sure?"

The aim was to indicate "are you really really sure?"

Would you say that B is more polite way of making someone check the statement? Whereas, A version has some negative meaning implied? (as if the person who states that the payment is reated to income is being silly) (btw, I wonder if I am not being silly right now?)

I'd use B, and I don't see it as more or less polite or more or less negative than A. It fits right where I'd say "really", which is the intended meaning.

Is it [indeed / really] a ...?
