Hi, In my opinion, it's a lousy test question. It requires more knowledge of the subject than it does of grammar. It's full of quasi-technical HR terminology that borders on business jargon.

B sounds better to me than E, since psychologists have not been mentioned before and it is not clear 'in addition to what'.

Hi,
You'd use "therefore" to show that what goes before, is the reason for what comes after.

You'd use "in addition" to show that what comes after is simply another example similar to what went before.
