Increase or increased

Hi,

Can someone please help me with this. Should increase or increased be used in the sentences below?and Why? Thanks.

Ernesto Manahan reported the highlights of their palay and fish production surveys in the first quarter of 2021 and 2022. Manahan attributed the increase/increased in palay production to the support of different local government units, while the increase/increased in fish production to the numerous interventions made by Department of Agriculture and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.
