Hi

Could you please offer me a better word than increase here?

A- Why did you leave the institution in the middle of the term?
B- Because the teacher could never increase my interest in learning English.

To me, B's statement seems to focus too much on the teacher and not enough on himself. I suggest eg Because the class didn't capture my enthusiasm Clive

I suggest
eg Because the class didn't capture my enthusiasm
