Incorrect sentence

What is incorrect in these sentences?
1. "This is the bin to put rubbish in" (I think maybe "to put in rubbish not to put rubbish in?)
2. "She tried to always get her assignments in early" (I think "She always tried?)
3. "If I was younger I would take a year off and go to help the earthquake victims" (I think "I were" but I not sure why)
