Inconvenience or Inconveniences

Hi,

Come across the following in an email:

Our sincere apologies for the inconveniences caused to you and the person who picks up the calls.

Would it be incorrect or non-idiomatic to use 'inconvenience'? Is there a real difference between both?

Thanks.
