Include,transitive or intransitive?

Hi there.
I looked the word 'Include' up in my dictionary and it was defined as a transitive verb. However today i came across a sentence that had used the foresaid verb as an intransitive verb (i think so):

"A sport that was eliminated from the Olympics and later included again is tennis."

Persian Learner A sport that was eliminated from the Olympics and later included again is tennis. When transitive verbs are used in the passive voice they may look different to you. In this case the "was" carries over into the second clause of the relative construction: A sport [that was eliminated from the Olympics and ( was ) later included again] is tennis.
