Could you tell me if these are interchangeable?

1 Could you tell whether he is generous in comparison/in contrast with/in relation you?
2 Her 2nd album is good, but by contrast/comparison/in realtion with her first, it isn't great.

And which would you say please?

1 There are 10 minutes left of the film.
2 There are 10 minutes left to/till/before the end of the film.

1 He death won't be in vain if we find the killer.
2 Her death won't have been in vain if we find the killer.
