inauguration OR opening day?

Which one is more appropriate for the opening day of a bank branch? It must be too formal. Opening ceremony, opening day or inauguration?

Top answer

Perhaps "official opening". "It must be too formal" is contradictory: "too" implies more formal than is wanted, whereas "must" implies that it's what you want. I'm not sure if you mean "It mustn't be too formal" or "It must be formal".

It must be too formal refers to "Opening ceremony, opening day, inauguration"
must or musn't is not our issue.
