In words/ in different words?

Hi, everyone.

Could you help me with this sentence?

They will be able to indentify hard and soft sounds/sound of "G" in a word (or in words?)

Could you help me write both the plural and singular versions of the sentence?

Thanks!

silak12 Could you help me with this sentence? It occurs to me that identifying anything requires the use of words, so the addition of 'in a word' or 'in words' seems rather pointless. They will be able to identify hard G and soft G (by saying 'hard' or 'soft').
