In Wikipedia, there's contradiciton. Help me.

Since I cannot make the pictures show up in this site,

Please go to the following Wikipedia page and give me your precious opinion.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paper_airplanes

In this webpage, there's one diagram and a picture.

But, as you can see, there's a contradiction between the diagram (upper one) and the picture (under).

What I want to know is

when you fold 'a traditional paper airplane' as instructed in instructions

which one is the right?

The diagram or the picture?

(I think there's the key of the answer in instruction #3)

Thanks.

They represent two different traditional models (and there are other traditional models as well-- any self-respecting subteen can make three or four at least). PS: The end result of the diagram is, of course, what is shown as the 'End Result' in the diagram.

Thank you for answering me, Mister Micawber.

But I still don't understand your answer in two points.

Have a patient, long story.

3. The folder should crease the paper plane back to the position where the folder had left the guide marks, then they should put wings on the paper plane, the most vital part of this procedure.

I am not sure that I follow all of your explanation, Stenka, but I understand most of it, and I can follow the airplane-making directions given at Wikipedia.

The numbered directions describe the diagrammed plane, not the photograph; the photograph is a different model.
