in which

"We now have a small window of opportunity in which to make our views known."

Which denotes opportunity? I don't know why the speaker used in which. Without it, it is possible that we now have a small window of opportunity to make our views known.

No. Not "opportunity"; "window".

We can make our views known in this small window of opportunity that we now have.

Offering you my belated thanks, though a little too late, I have something to ask you.

Without 'in which', is it possible that we now have a small window of opportunity to make our views known?
If so, is it grammatical that we now have a small window of opportunity to make our views known in?

Here the window will make our views known. Pretty smart window.

Yes. That's grammatical. It puts "in" quite far from the words it logically goes with, but it's grammatical.
