In vs from & from vs by

Hi, I have 2 queries:

1) What is the difference between the following:

a) Which school are you from?

b) Which school are you in?

2)

a) This presentation is from Lucas.

b) Which school are you by Lucas.

Is (a) correct? If it is incorrect, how can we explain it?

Many thanks!
