In vain

I am not dreaming of vain dreams or I am not dreaming of dreams in vain. Is there a difference in meaning? I think either sentence says the same. What do you think? Thank you so much as usual and have a good day.

All our efforts are in vain VS. All our efforts are vain. I ever saw the first, but not the second. What do you think? Both are correct or not? Thank you so much!!

Both seem OK to me, with the first the much more common of the two.

Thank you and sorry about taking your time a lot but I would like to know the meaning of either one is the same:

I am not dreaming vain dreams VS. I am not dreaming dreams in vain. I think if "in vain" modifies "dreams", the meanings of both are the same. Am I right?

I have already explained the difference.
