If you want 'in', there are two meanings.
1) It will take me this much time to do it.
I can do it in a month. ~ It will take me a month to do the whole job.
Often in the past: I did it in a month.
2) I will start to do it after this much time has passed.
I can do it in a month. ~ I have to wait a month before I start to do it.
