In this sentence, which has the color yellow? "The bell that crushed the house, which has the color yellow..."

Impossible to tell -- it's ambiguous. It's also rather strange, in several ways. Why "has the color yellow" instead of just "is yellow"? How can a bell crush a house? What's the rest of the sentence?

I suppose if I really had to guess, I would say that the bell is yellow. Since the house has been crushed, it might be more appropriate to say that the house had the color yellow

This sentence in particular is quite vague, but if you properly assess it you can see that it is the house which is the color yellow. A better way of phrasing that would be "The bell that crushed the yellow house..."

The example given was not even a complete sentence -- how exactly did you "properly assess" it to determine your answer? Why suggest "the bell that crushed the yellow house" instead of "The yellow bell that crushed the house"?
