In these Few sentence, which word would you choose please

Could you please tell me which word you would choose and if the sentence is correct?

1 That number is there as a guide to let you know if you punched in the right number. The two amounts have to be equal/the same.

2 It takes a while for the movie to get/become interesting.

3 Someone threw a bottle out the window and it landed in front of/before me.

4 If the cost of repair exceeds the cost of the car itself, you're better off sending it to the junkyard.
