In the wild

Hi, before giving an example, the author of the article I was reading used the following sentence which I can't make out what he wanted to say with that.

"And examples for using them in the wild"

This was the example he gave "25% of Blog Owners Never Check Their Analytics"

What does 'wild' means in this sentence?

Thanks in advance!
