In the Trip

Hi.

Would you ever say 'in the trip'? You would say 'on the visit' or 'in the visit,' and 'on the trip,' so I wonder you would ever use 'in the trip.'

Many thanks.

Only in this context: Included in the trip is/are... If you want to talk about time, I'd suggest "during" and not "in". I met her during the trip.

You would also say, "I met her on the trip," wouldn't you?

Yes, or during. "On" the trip gives me more of feeling that she was on the same trip as you from beginning to end.
